Housing is more than space. It is access.

Construction barrier: Room for good ideas.

A suitable home can enable security, self-determination and a new beginning. ABeA brings people, housing and realistic next steps together.

Who ABeA supports

Different circumstances need suitable access.

ABeA supports individuals and small households with a discrimination-sensitive, personal and realistic approach.

Construction barrier: Safe space in progress.
01

Without a home

For people experiencing homelessness or insecure housing, a reliable address can be the start of a more self-determined daily life.

02

Leaving accommodation

Refugees living in shared accommodation receive support with specific housing searches and clear first contact.

03

With a WBS

People holding a German housing entitlement certificate often need orientation, suitable listings and a clear presentation of their situation.

04

With or without a dog

Pets are communicated transparently from the start. Each search is considered individually.

05

Home exchange

Homes that are too large or too small can be matched – for example, older people wishing to downsize and younger people or families needing more space.

06

Queer. Open. For everyone.

ABeA respects diverse biographies and provides support without making blanket judgements about personal circumstances.

What ABeA does

Support instead of empty promises.

ABeA organises transitions. Depending on the individual case and available capacity, this can include:

A

Clarify the match

Household size, income, WBS, move-in date, pets and necessary conditions are clarified transparently before an enquiry.

B

Enable contact

ABeA can review suitable listings, structure first contacts and communicate information clearly between those involved.

C

Rethink space

The Vacancy Radar connects housing searches, underused homes, home exchanges and new uses together with private owners and property managers.

We are looking for space

Not every solution needs a standard tenancy.

  • A home · a room · a shared flat · a sublet
  • Interim letting · time-limited living · a transition
  • Commercial space and living, where the law allows
  • Short-term and seasonal places to stay

The category is not what matters. What matters is whether a place can be a workable solution for a person.

Construction barrier: A better city is taking shape here.

Space and possibilities

Do you have space, or know of a possibility?

Private landlords, property managers, housing companies, businesses, initiatives and people with unused space can get in touch without obligation. Unusual or time-limited possibilities can be of interest too.

Together, ABeA looks at what is realistic, legally possible and responsible.

Personal data remains protected.

ABeA only requests information required for a specific search or contact. Names, addresses and personal circumstances are not displayed publicly and are only shared with consent.

PERSON + PLACE + CYCLE + NETWORK → TRANSITION

Space follows need. People are not made to fit a property.
